This year Roberto’s Restaurant is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will celebrate it with different activities throughout the year.It was a deliberate choice to name the restaurantafter its founder Roberto Payer. There was no restaurant signature at Hilton Amsterdam when Roberto Payer became the hotel’s general manager. However, more and more Mediterranean influence was applied in the restaurant’s kitchen until it became purely Italian. This also applied to the restaurant’s look and feel. Therefore, the name was obvious: Roberto’s Restaurant. Being the cluster general manager he still likes to watch at the kitchen how his favorite dishes are being prepared. He also likes to try everything! If someone has supervised the Pure Italian Kitchen in recent years, it is Roberto Payer.
